@Traceyeedmonds:
Yesterday, my teenage daughter asked me to take her to see your movie: @JumpingTheBroom
She loved it!
This story of family and love was a great reminder of what is possible with faith. As a divorced father of two very smart and impressionable kids, I am resolute in my effort to make sure that they are always exposed to all of the possibilities of life … including the belief that you can fall in love get married and stay together.
I constantly worry if I am doing enough to let them know that the path that I walk is my own, and that their journey is their own. I tell them that the possibility of love and happiness will be there for both of them when the time is right.
Your movie made my daughter smile and laugh! To see her eyes light up and talk about the day she gets married warms my heart, but also reminded me I’m not ready to be the Father of the Bride! ;-)
I just wanted to say thanks to you and all of the folks who came together to create such a wonderful project. It is clear it is both a labor of love and faith!
God Bless,
@PoliticalJones

First Lady Michelle Obama, Dr. Jill Biden Launch Initiative to Honor Military Families
Updated: Tuesday, 12 Apr 2011, 1:37 PM CDT
(NewsCore) - WASHINGTON — First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden launched a national initiative Tuesday to support and honor US service members and their families — a priority President Barack Obama said was a “matter of national security.”
“The strength and readiness of America’s military depends on the strength and the readiness of our military families,” the president said at the initiative’s launch at the White House. “This is a matter of national security. It’s not just the right thing to do, it also makes this country stronger.”
The “Joining Forces” national initiative “aims to educate, challenge, and spark action from all sectors of our society — citizens, communities, businesses, non-profits, faith based institutions, philanthropic organizations, and government — to ensure military families have the support they have earned,” according to the first lady’s office.
